UB7-S Gt-2160 "Lava Orange/Jasper Green"

The UB7-S GT-2160™ sneaker draws inspiration from themes of interlaced assemblages, functional utopias, and Mino ceramics.Soft textures combine with the idea of handcrafted elements found in iconic works of art. By creating dull, washed-out color aspects, the design team was able to enhance the archival form and construction of the historic running shoe. In contrast to grid patterns and bold matte colors, variations inspired by functional utopia apply direct correlations to nature. These shiny primary colorways are offset by metallic textures that accentuate the materialization of the double-layered mesh. The designers also explored the influences of Mino ceramics by investigating the contemporary processes of the rust-like qualities that appear in Mino glazes. This process considers the images as a vessel with degraded colors that have the ability to stand the test of time.
